100% Natural Alpaca Wool

Unsurprisingly the star material of this mattress topper is the nearly 2 inches of 100% Natural Alpaca Wool. Avocado sources all of their Alpaca wool through the Patagonia region of Argentina.

Alpaca wool is made up of silky soft plush fibers that are mold resistant, naturally hypoallergenic, water-repellent, and naturally flame-retardant.

Making it a great material to use on top of a mattress. If you have ever been so blessed as to pet an alpaca in person, then you will know how truly soft, plush, and yet durable their wool is.

OEKO-TEK Standard 100 Certified Wool

The Alpaca wool is in the center of the Avocado Alpaca Mattress Topper. Surround this core layer of Alpaca Wool are two layers of sheep’s wool.

With two such high performing natural materials this creates a very soft pillowy feeling mattress topper with a nice amount of responsiveness as well.

100% GOTS Organic Certified Cotton Cover

The three internal layers are then covered with a 100% Organic Cotton cover and is quilted in order to keep the filling distributed comfortably throughout the bed.

This topper is made completely without latex and is very lightweight. The hand-stitched elastic bands on the corners do a great job at securing the topper to the mattress and keeps it from shifting around.

Otherwise, this mattress topper will pair well with any supportive firm mattress. It adds a lovely pillow top feel to any mattress.
