Materials & Design:

The design of Avocado’s Vegan Mattress Topper is rather similar to their Plush Latex Mattress Topper. With a latex base, cotton cover, and batting. However, in the original design Avocado uses wool batting in their latex topper. In order to create their Vegan Mattress Topper, they use a high-end organic cotton batting instead.

Avocado starts their mattress topper with a base of natural Dunlop Latex. This latex is certified organic by Global Organic Latex Standard. This is a high standard for Dunlop Latex and Avocado ensures that they use a true organic product. The popular Talalay latex is a natural product but can never be certified as an organic product, which is why Avocado chooses to use Dunlop latex for their products. There are two different densities of latex that they use which create the two different comfort options of either Plush or Firm.

This latex is then topped with the Organic Cotton batting. This is what makes the real difference between their original latex topper and this vegan mattress topper.

Instead of the wool they use a fluffy organic cotton batting. This is then covered with the soft and slightly stretchy 100% organic cotton cover. The simple combination of latex and cotton creates a very comfortable mattress topper.
