Delivery & Off Gassing:

The very first thing to do with your new Yaasa mattress is take it out of the box and get it set up. It should show up right at your door and in a fairly compact box, for a mattress anyway.

Getting it to where it needs to go may take two sets of hands. It is a heavier box and a little awkward to maneuver if you’re on your own. Once you get it to where you’ll be sleeping it should only take a few minutes to get it out of the box and take it out of the plastic and come to life.

During the unboxing process you may notice a bit of an odor but it should be very minimal. With most boxed mattresses there will be a little bit of smell during the unboxing process. Our Yaasa Hybrid Comfort Experience:

We had the opportunity to try the firm mattress. We found the comfort of this mattress to be nice. The responsiveness of the coils allowed for easy movement and the four inches of comfort foams proved to be just enough for ideal sinking and hugging but not so much that it makes you feel stuck or too warm.

This mattress was a true medium firm feel and for both of us worked very well in each of our preferred sleeping positions. This option would be especially ideal for back and stomach sleepers who are also the occasional side sleepers. We really enjoyed this option and felt plenty of support, pressure relief and comfort.

Yaasa Hybrid – Motion Transfer:

The Yaasa hybrid beds use coils and foams. The coil system used in the Yaasa Hybrid has individually wrapped coils to reduce vibrations and won’t produce any overly noticeable movement.

The Yaasa bed should perform fairly well with isolating motion and not cause much partner disturbance while sleeping. Motion transfer in this mattress line will not be a problem and should work well for most anyone sharing a bed.

Again, we had the opportunity to try the firm hybrid option and found it did a fairly okay job for a coiled mattress with keeping the motion transfer to a minimum. There was plenty of responsiveness and a bit of vibration; not too much but if you are a lighter sleeper it may be noticeable.

Yaasa Hybrid – Sleeping Cool:

The Yaasa mattress should perform good for you if you’re a warm sleeper. Hybrid mattresses tend to be better for warmer sleepers since there is a place for heat to dissipate in the space between coils. This will help create less heat to be retained, which works better than an all foam bed.

The Yaasa hybrid mattress incorporates a top layer of YaasaFlex Foam. This foam is a more breathable foam, infused with titanium and anti-microbial properties that should help retain less heat.  It is also covered in a YaasaCool cover. This cover is not only soft but also phase-changing to keep you cool.

The Yaasa firm mattress did a fine job for sleeping cool for us. There was plenty of air flow with the ample coil system that kept heat retention to a minimum. The responsiveness of the materials as well as ideal support kept us from sinking in and producing more heat than necessary. Also, the YaasaCool cover was breathable and soft and didn’t create any extra heat either. It is perfectly fitted to this most comfortable Yaasa mattress.

Yaasa Hybrid – Edge Support:

Regardless of which mattress option is chosen for you the edges should be solid and sturdy and provide a consistent sleeping surface on every square inch. This mattress is not only thick, but well made with solid foams and coils. The base, regardless of whether you have the all foam or hybrid, will be a very durable and will provide a great foundation that will even be felt on the edges.

Sleeping on this mattress you should feel no difference from sleeping on the edge to the center and there is a very consistent feel. As far as sitting goes, there may be a bit less support. But for getting in and out of bed and occasionally sitting, it will be plenty firm and solid.
