Materials & Design:

The Nolah Squishy Pillow has an adjustable design. The cover is made out of a soft and breathable Cooling Bamboo and features a hidden side zipper. This side zipper opens up to the internal fill of the pillow, which you can then add or remove in order to adjust for your comfort. This is the customizable feature in this pillow.

This fill is made out of many small breathable foam cubes. Not only does having the internal fill cubed allow you to customize your comfort, it also adds extra softness and airflow. If the pillow was one singular block of foam it would not have the signature squishy feel that this pillow has. The extra airflow plus the cooling bamboo cover really helps to keep this pillow from heating up during the night.

Is The Nolah Squishy Pillow Comfortable?

The Nolah Squishy Pillow is a step up in comfort. This pillow is designed to be customizable so everyone can find their ideal comfort with the Squishy Pillow. The internal fill is made up of small cubes of foam. Nolah gave this pillow a convenient hidden side zipper, when you open this zipper you will gain access to the internal fill, allowing you to remove or add fill in order to create your ideal soft height.

This is what allows this pillow to work for all sleep positions. If you are a side sleeper, you can keep maximum amount of fill in order to have a high loft to keep pressure off of your shoulders. While predominantly back sleepers may want to remove some fill in order to get the perfect neck support. Stomach sleepers typically find that standard pillow designs have too high of a loft for their comfort. With this pillow you can lower the loft to be the perfect size for everyone, even stomach sleepers.

Care Instructions:

No one wants a fussy high-maintenance pillow. Thankfully the Nolah Squishy Pillow is super quick and simple to keep fresh and clean. As long as you are washing your sheets often, your pillow will mostly only need an occasional fluffing to stay fresh and clean. However, if you find your pillow in need of a wash, that is easy too.

For washing your Squishy Pillow, Nolah recommends removing the cover from the internal fill. Then machine wash the cover with like colors with warm water. They do not recommend using any products containing bleach. To dry, simply tumble dry on low heat. You can also choose to hang dry.

Nolah Squishy Pillow – Our Experience:

When we first unboxed our pillows they were compressed into the same box and it did take a minute or two for the pillows to inflate back to life. We allowed the pillows to expand overnight and them put them on our bed the next day. The pillows do have a slight “new pillow smell” but it dissipated very quickly.

The small foam cubes seem to get more pliable when they warm up. Which means when we first laid down in bed the pillows felt a bit more firm than we were expecting. However, as the pillow warmed up as we slept it become much more of the squishy feel we were expecting. You can also remove the fill for a slightly softer feel and/or to lower the overall profile of the pillow. Which was easy to do, there are two zippers which also allows your to easily wash the outer pillow case without having to find somewhere to store the internal foam fill.

The cover is extra smooth and cool to the touch. Which was also a nice feature and the pillow fit perfectly in the Bamboo Sheet from Nolah. Overall very happy with our experience, I typically prefer a more lofty pillow as I sleep primarily on my side or back and this pillow worked well for both sleeping positions.
