Talalay Latex is hypoallergenic, mildew proof, and stays much cooler than other foams. Another benefit to purchasing a pillow made out of Talalay Latex is that it has a quick adaptive feel. Unlike memory foam which tends to heat up and is slow to adapt to your movements. Latex adjusts to your movement quickly which helps avoid any stuck or sinking feeling.
The cover used on this pillow is made to breath with a 100% cotton cover. Malouf made their cover removeable with a simple side zipper. This makes it possible for the cover to be completely machine washable.
The middle zone of the pillow is where you need a pillow to cradle and conform to the shape of your head. Which is why the holes are larger in this section in order to allow the pillow to contour to the shape of your head. Overall, we are impressed and enjoy the amount of support this pillow gives. If you prefer a softer or firmer pillow see the info on density in the next section.
These choices allow for this pillow to get rather versatile and suit the preferences of many. If you are a stomach sleeper that prefers a dense pillow, then we would suggest getting the Low Firm option. While a side sleeper that likes a softer pillow, we would suggest getting the High Loft with a Plush feel.
Back sleepers could choose either loft depending on personal preference and your size.

Following their care instructions, simply remove the cover and machine wash on a gentle warm cycle with a cool rinse. Be sure to use a gentle chlorine and bleach free detergent. In order to dry you can hang dry or tumble dry on low heat. Do not use a high heat setting as this may shrink or damage the cover.
As far as the internal foam section of the pillow goes, they suggest to only spot treat as necessary. Be sure to not get the pillow too damp during this process. Allow the pillow to air dry fully before continuing use.
