Delivery & Unboxing

The very first thing we needed to do with our new Love & Sleep Mattress is take it out of the box and get it set up. It should show up right at your door and in a fairly compact box, for a mattress anyway. Getting it to where it needs to go may take two sets of hands. It is about 65 lbs and a little awkward to maneuver if you’re on your own. Once you get it to where you’ll be sleeping it should only take a few minutes to get it out of the box and take it out of the plastic and come to life.

During the unboxing process you will notice a bit of off gassing but it should be very minimal. With most boxed mattresses there will be a little bit of smell once it is allowed to unroll and take shape, but this one is made in the USA which helps tremendously with cutting down on any noxious odors. It should be fine within a few hours but if you are more sensitive to certain smells letting it breath up to 12 hours would probably be a good idea.

When setting up your new mattress it will need a foundation that provides a flat, even surface that will support the weight of the mattress as well as the sleepers. It also will need to be the right height for you as well as be aesthetically appealing. Nest Bedding also sells box springs, adjustable bases and platform beds. Comfort

The Love and Sleep mattress comes in two comfort levels, medium and firm. The medium option provides a great combination of support and cushion. This option would work great for back, stomach and side sleepers and is going to be best for people who like a supportive feel but with still a little extra softness. The firm option is going to appeal to people who like to not sink in too much in the mattress and more than likely sleep on their stomachs and back. Having two comfort options helps in having options that will work best for you. This mattress may not be ideal for a heavier person. The quality of the base foam may lack the proper support to hold up for an extended period of time.

We tried the Nest Bedding Love and Sleep mattress in the medium option. We found that for a budget friendly mattress that this did a pretty good job of meeting our sleeping needs. The medium option felt a little more medium-firm and fell around a 6 – 6.5 on a firmness scale of 1 being the softest and 10 being the firmest. We thought that this mattress was a good basic, cost conscience mattress that should work well for most people.

Motion Transfer

This all foam mattress has a dense foam base and a top layer like memory foam that absorbs vibrations and makes for very minimal to no motion transfer to be felt. This mattress is great for anyone who shares a bed because of this, there will be little disturbance when getting in and out of bed.

One of the things you probably don’t think about initially when looking at a mattress is edge support. However, it can be a very important feature once you get it home and use it daily. Edge support is especially important if you sit on the edge of your bed for any reason. Also, if you like to sleep close to the edge and need to utilize the full sleeping surface.

While doing the Love and Sleep mattress review we found the edge support to be a lot like most online all foam mattresses. Which is okay for sleeping, but not great for sitting. The Love and Sleep would work fine for sleeping on the full edge to edge surface. However, if you are planning on sitting on the edge for extended periods of time, it may lack in support.

This mattress comes in two comfort options, medium and luxury foam, both are 10 inches thick. However, depending on which one you choose the materials will be slightly different.

The Medium Love & Sleep has three layers. The top layer is 3″ of 2.8lb density Energex cooling comfort foam. This foam is meant to feel like a cross between memory foam and latex. It is hugging but still responsive and allows your body to sink in enough but also easy to move.

The middle layer is 1″ of Smartflow air flow foam. This layer is transition layer but also helps with cooling. The design of this foam is convoluted and allows for air to circulate and dissipate.

The base is 6″ of 1.8lb density edge support base foam. This layer is the foundation of the mattress and provides the support and core of the mattress.

The Luxury Firm Love & Sleep has two layers. The top layer is 2″ of 2.8lb density Energex cooling comfort foam. This foam is meant to feel like a cross between memory foam and latex. It is hugging but still responsive and allows your body to sink in enough but also easy to move.

The base is 8″ of 1.8lb density edge support base foam. This layer is the foundation of the mattress and provides the support and core of the mattress.
