Materials & Design:

When looking into the basic design of the weighted blankets from Quility, it consists of two main parts. First is the internal weighted portion of the blanket. This is essentially a weighted quilt. They filled it with premium micro glass beads. These beads are what give the blanket the desired weight. They then covered it in 100% Cotton. This is a soft breathable cotton. Quility then quilts this part of the blanket. This keeps the premium micro glass beads equally distributed throughout the blanket.

The second part of the blanket design is the duvet cover. The Quility weighted blanket duvet cover is made with a Minky textuture Polyester fleece. This cover is very soft and features two textures. The first is more smooth while the second has a bumpy minky soft texture for added comfort. The textile interest is often used in weighted blanket for added relaxation.

We would say that the Quility Weighted Blanket is very easy to keep fresh and clean. A lot of this has to do with the removeable duvet cover. It opens with a simple zipper and the internal weighted blanket can be removed. This allows the cover to be easily machine washed. Although they still recommend using a gentle cycle with like colors. Then hang or lay flat to dry. Avoid tumble drying or bleach as these can potentially damage the cover.

To wash the inner blanket, you can hand wash gently with soapy water. Dry cleaning can also be a good option for cleaning the internal weighted blanket. To dry, Quility suggest hang drying or laying flat to dry. Be sure to allow the blanket to dry completely before you continue use.
