Helix Sleep is best know for their large selection of mattresses. They have three base models that come in many different comfort options. This makes it perfect for anyone looking for that just right feel. Which is why it comes at no surprise to us that Helix came out with their own Adjustable Base. This gives their customers even more options for customizing their comfort.
With so many adjustable bases coming on to the market, we wanted to review the Helix Adjustable Base in order to determine what makes it different. Continue reading to get all of the details and determine whether the Helix Adjustable Base is the right choice for you.
The Helix Adjustable Base Features:
- Head and Foot Adjustability
- Dual Massage Zones
- Wireless Remote Control
- 6 (or more) Leg Construction
- Holds up to 710lbs (Including mattress weight)
- Fits inside of most slatless bed frames
Helix Adjustable Bed – Construction:
One common question that Helix is asked is who makes their adjustable base. Helix has partnered with a company called Reverie. This company makes these bases in their factories and has been tested with the Helix mattresses. They did a great job at creating a solid adjustable base.
The construction features 6 legs (Kings have more) to give their sleepers plenty of stability as they shift and change positions with their adjustable base. It also has a flat base instead of open slats. We prefer this construction for an adjustable base as we find it give the mattress better support overall.
They also made the Helix Adjustable Base with a slim design in order for it to fit nicely inside of most slatless bed frames. This way you can keep the decorative frame you love while adding in adjustable comfort.
Helix Adjustable Frame – Ease of Use:
The Helix Adjustable Base is rather simple and straight forward to use. Their wireless remote control is rather straight forward to work. You can even set up your remote to have two custom positions of your choice. This way you can go to your favorite position with one simple press of a button, instead of having to find it every time.
Set up of the Helix Adjustable Base is rather simple as well. Although the base is rather heavy and Helix does suggest having at least two people putting it together. This will make the whole process go a lot smoother.
Helix Sleep Adjustable Base – Extra Features:
The Helix can do more than just adjust your sleeping position. Our favorite feature from the Helix is it’s dual zoned 3D-Wave Massage feature. You can choose to have Helix massage either your legs or your upper body, or both! Giving you a truly luxurious experience in your own bed. We especially like this feature for anyone who needs a little extra help with relaxing.
It also offers a zero gravity setting for optimal body position. This preset allows for greater pressure relief and further reduces back pain and improved circulation. And if that isn’t enough if you sleep with a snorer that could benefit from sleeping slightly inclined, you’re in luck.
Helix Sleep Adjustable Bed – Value:
When compared to other similar adjustable bases, these are rather reasonably priced. Especially considering that it has massage and two customizable preset buttons. Although we will say the jump in price between the Queen and the Kings is rather substantial.
We believe this is due to the split action capabilities in the Kings. This means you can have two different comfort options as well as being able to raise only one side of the mattress at a time or both. This is a great feature for couples.
- Twin XL: $750
- Queen: $850
- King: $750/half – $1500/set
- Cal King: $750/half – $1500/set
**If you are purchasing a King or California King size, be sure to put two in your cart since they are sold in halves.

Helix Adjustable Power Base – Overall:
Helix did a great job designing their Adjustable Frame with their partners Reverie. This is a sturdy and easy to use adjustable base. We love it’s slim design and massage features. It even comes in at a reasonable price. Overall we are pleased with the style and quality of this frame and think it would make a great addition to almost any bedroom.
