Construction:

The Adjustable Base by Bear features an aluminium frame that is both light-weight and strong. This gives the adjustable base it’s structure. Then they have four main platforms for the mattress to lay on. These platforms provide plenty of support and grip onto the mattress which allows the bed to move smoothly and comfortable into each position without sliding around. It also has an extra bar at the foot of the bed to keep the mattress in place.

The Bear Adjustable Base is designed to stay snug up against the wall, even when changing positions. This means you can comfortably use your nightstand, as your adjustable base will keep you within arms reach. No stretching, reaching, or having to lay back down in order to access anything/everything you need. This is a very convenient feature that we like very much.

Ease of Use:

With such a smart, simple design the Bear Adjustable Base is rather straight forward to use. Their wireless remote makes it especially easy to use. No worries on getting your wires tangled up here.

We found their wireless remote to be intuitive to use too. It even comes with 2 customizable pre-set buttons. This allows you to choose a custom position that is just right for you, and go back to it anytime you please with a single press of a button. Allowing you to change positions quickly and easily.

You also have the choice of choosing between 4 preset positions as well. Each position is set with a specific intent in mind. Offering a “anti-snore” position, “zero gravity” preset, “lounge” preset position and a “one-touch flat” position.

Delivery & Set Up:

When you buy the Adjustable Base from Bear, you will get free shipping to your door. Depending on which size you choose, your base may come in two or more boxes. All of which will weigh approximately 100lbs or more. Bear offers white-glove delivery service, which includes set up in your home. This does come at an additional cost, however for an adjustable base it is often worth the price.

If you choose to set up your adjustable base without white-glove delivery/set up, then we suggest doing so with the help of at least one more person. While Bear claims that this frame can be set up by a single person within 15 minutes, we find it to be much easier with two sets of hands. Also, these boxes are heavy and it can be quite the task to set up on your own.

We also think it is important to note that the Base will ship separately from any other items purchased from Bear including any mattress or other accessories. White-Glove delivery and set up will not include the set up of any items besides the adjustable base.
